After Any Disaster
Check yourself, your family, and immediate neighbors for injuries.
Assess your home for damage. If it seems unsafe, get everyone out.
Follow the AI Emergency Communication plan below.
Place your HELP/OK sign in a front door or window.
After an earthquake, put your fire extinguisher on your front porch for community access.
Immediate Actions for Specific Threats
Earthquake: Drop, Cover, and Hold On. If you are on the beach, move to high ground immediately after the shaking stops.
Tsunami: If you feel a long or strong earthquake, evacuate to high ground (>60 ft) with your GoBag IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait for an official warning.
Wildfire: Listen for Evacuation Levels (1-Ready, 2-Set, 3-Go!). Evacuation from the island will be for people and pets ONLY, NO VEHICLES. Keep roads clear.
Severe Weather: Get inside a sturdy building on the lowest floor, away from windows. Avoid driving.
